What's covered in a Court Room Preparation session?

Legal Advice Sessions are 60 minutes (1 Hour) long, and also include an additional 10 minutes at the outset of every call, which you aren't charged for, to provide your lawyer with the

appropriate context to give you the best advice.

Court Room Preparation Sessions are best suited for:

Understanding

your rights

Learn how similar cases are decided, and the different factors that can have an

impact on your case.

Getting second

opinions

Ask other lawyers about how they would approach your legal situation, and differing legal strategies.

Learning how to advocate

 for yourself

Get help with legal writing, and how to present your case in court, so you can achieve better results for yourself.

How to get the most of our your Court Room Preparation Session

You'll have the opportunity to describe the history of your case, details around your next court appearance,  and where you feel you need support.  You will use the time more efficiently if:

  • you have a list of questions you'd like to ask ahead of time

  • be prepared to take notes, or record the discussion

  • You're ready to take notes: hand written, recording the call.

  • You provide a detailed summary of your situation ahead of time, preferably in chronological, bullet point format, and describe circumstances where you feel you need coaching.

What to expect during your

Court Room Preparation Session

The lawyer walk you through procedural details,  things you need to be mindful of when you appear in court (where to sit, how to address the judge), depending on what your appearance is for.  They will guide you as far as what to do/what not to do, and educate you on the things you should ask for, how to cite the law to your advantage.

In order to provide the most complete advice, the lawyer may:

  • ask for you to submit additional details (submit documentation, provide additional history etc...)

  • Ask you to schedule a follow-up call, if the one hour isn't sufficient to get you ready for your appearance.
